Ganymede and Bois Impérial share more than most people realize. Both were composed by the same perfumer, Quentin Bisch, and both lean on Akigalawood, a woody molecule upcycled from patchouli, to do a lot of the structural work. What each fragrance builds on top of that shared foundation could not be more different.
Ganymede opens with saffron and mandarin, turns floral and mineral through osmanthus and violet leaf, then settles into a clean, futuristic suede. Bois Impérial opens sharp and herbal with Thai basil and Timut pepper, then goes straight into a dense, spicy wood that barely lets up.
Wear them side by side and the shared DNA becomes obvious, along with just how much a perfumer can do with the same building block twice.
What's in this kit
Ganymede: the floral, mineral, suede-forward take. Osmanthus and violet leaf over a futuristic Akigalawood base.
Bois Impérial: the sharp, herbal, wood-forward take. Thai basil and Timut pepper over the same Akigalawood, pushed in the opposite direction.
About our decants: Each decant is filled from an original bottle into our own glass atomizer. You're getting the genuine fragrance, just not in the brand's packaging.
