Terre d'Hermès opens with a dry, bitter orange and grapefruit that feels more mineral than fruity, shot through with pepper and a distinctive flint accord that gives it an almost geological quality. Cedar and vetiver ground the base in something earthy and raw. Airy for a woody fragrance, sharp without being aggressive, and one of those rare compositions that manages to smell simultaneously classic and unlike anything else.
